Mile 2

Plein air painted on 25 June 2021 on the C&O canal towpath at the site where canal boats once could be rolled down an inclined plane to Potomac River to avoid 19th century traffic congestion in Georgetown a mere 2 miles downstream.  This location is inside DC yet feels quite wild and remote.
